We went to Minocqua, Wisconsin this past weekend to get away for a bit with the kids. My husband's family has a cabin up there and we try to get there at least once a summer. I hadn't been for two years because our son was too little last year. But this year we all went and had a great time.
Walking around downtown Minocqua, I couldn't help thinking about Lily Bella a bit because there were so many great nooks and crannies that would make fabulous backgrounds for photographs. There were two in particular that kept screaming "backdrops!" at me.
This building was so rich in color and cute! It looked deserted. I think it must have been an eatery of some kind. On the side wall was this:
Wouldn't that make a fabulous backdrop for my studio?!!! Maybe a little something like this?
It would fold at the rock line and the rocks would be the flooring.
Then there was this fabulous house:
Heritage House: Alandmark built in 1898 and was used as a hospital in the early 20th century. Now, it houses a law practice.
But I took these:
And merged them into this:
Wouldn't that be a fun holiday backdrop?
Anyway, I just had to share. I am about 98% sure I'm going to get the French window made into a custom backdrop. I may do the red and white one eventually too.
so how do you have a custom backdrop printed?

Hi Jayne!
I haven't done it before! And honestly, I have no idea how much it costs. But I have ordered drops from Silver Lining and Photo Prop Floors and Backdrops and I believe both will print custom drops for you. I plan to email Caitlyn at Silver Lining to see what I would need on the technical side with regard to file size and all of that.
