I really enjoyed meeting Angela and her daughers Sophia and Heidi. Sophia was such a good listener and happy to sit so nicely for me. Heidi was her busy little self! We had to be quick to get photos of her because she would sit for approximately 3 seconds before she got up again. LOL! Angela really worked hard during this session! :-) But I sure think it was worth it. SOOOO CUTE! Though, I'm not sure how her photos couldn't cute with the absolutely adorable outfits her girls wore!

Tipton Family--Matthew 8 Months

It was fun to see this family again! Matthew is getting so big, and love all his hair and curls! ;-) I'll keep it quick this morning as I'm a little behind in getting this posted. It was really tough to work this weekend with all the gorgeous weather we had!

This sibling shot below isn't the absolute best of Matthew, but I LOVED Will's geniune smile and happiness so I had to post it. :-)

Ansari Family

Here's another sneak peek from my Lily Bella East sessions: the Ansari Family. Their kids were cutie pies and actually very patient with me. It took a little work to find some smiles, but with a little help from the "hot dog" song (ie: The Mickey Mouse Clubhouse theme song) we got a few of them.

I really like this brick wall backdrop. The more I use it, the more I love it. :-)

Getting a sibling shot proved to be a bit more difficult as I think the kids were just sort of done looking and smiling at this point. But they were having fun! :-)

Bushland Family

So I think it's safe to say this is my last outdoor session of the year! :-) Patty's oldest child was home from college so it was an all or nothing thing last weekend. It was dark, cloudy and 26 degrees with the windchill. This family definitely wins the Trooper Award! We quick grabbed some sibling and family photos and then they ran back to their van and came out one by one braving individual photos.

Such a sweet and amazing family! I've known Mary Rose and her mom for a couple years. Mary Rose was friends with my daughter Lily for two years in preschool. There are so many wonderful lessons to learn in life and being friends with Mary Rose has taught my Lily so many amazing things: compassion, perserverance, understanding and more. Mary Rose was born blind and has to learn to "see" the world through her other senses. After Lily first met Mary Rose, I saw her walking down our hallway with her eyes closed, touching the wall as she went along. I asked her what she was doing and Lily said, "I'm seeing what it's like for Mary Rose." And to this day, even though the two girls go to different schools and haven't seen each other since last June, every now and then Lily will be wearing a sequin shirt or be playing with something that has great texture and she'll think of her friend and say, "Mary Rose would like this." :-)

I really enjoyed this session, I hope we can meet up again, maybe under warmer and less rushed conditions.

 

Schroeder Siblings

It sure was fun to see Vivian and Juliet again. Juliet was super happy and very curious about the photo setup. She seemed to enjoy sitting with the props and she LOVED the blocks. The only time she cried this session was when we tried to take the blocks away from her. :-) And Vivian was extremely patient with me. I almost didn't post any black and whites of these because the color photos are so nice. But I ended up liking them in black/white just as well!

Tipton Family

I had the Tipton Family come visit me again last weekend. It sure is fun to see babies grow! Last time I saw Matthew he was just two weeks old! Now, he's four months old and boy, he looks like his older brother Will! Rebecca wanted Matthew's 4-month photos as well as some family photos. They also wanted a couple photos of Matthew in his baptismal gown. I asked if it was a family heirloom and though it's new to their family, they are hoping it becomes an heirloom. They are embroidering each child's name on the slip of the dress! Very cool!

Roseland Family

Yay! One of my all-time favorite families! I can say that because they ARE family! :-) We have been trying to do family photos for my cousin Cindy and her family, oh, since about May I think. I believe this is probably the fourth time (at least) that we had to reschedule and we FINALLY got it worked out for last Saturday. And it wasn't snowing OR raining! And it wasn't FREEZING! All of this was a major feat the second week of November. This same week last year, we had a blizzard. It was pretty dark by the time we took the photos. But at least she has some photos she can use for her Christmas card! :-) And as an added bonus we all finally got to hang out afterwards.

 

Abdelhadi Family

Ola and her family were our neighbors for a few years up until a couple weeks ago. Our girls played together in the backyard often in the summer. I know my girls will surely miss having them there to play with anytime. But luckily, they didn't move too far so I'm sure we'll see them every now and then. I had the opportunity to visit their new house to take a few photos when they had to get dressed up for a fundraising event they were attending. I walked in and was absolutely wowed by Ola's dress! Sooo AMAZING!

Maifeld Family

Ahhh....the first of many indoor sessions to come. This is bittersweet for me, only because it means we're to the end of the lovely outdoor season. On the other hand, it was fun to switch things up and do something indoors and use my backgrounds! And fun to meet a new family! Carter and Emerson were so patient with me! I took a ton of photos of them and they did a pretty good job!

 

Hoffman Siblings

I've been taking photos of Porter all year as he's grown from newborn to a year old!! But it was fun to see his siblings again for a session at the Arboretum. They all did a great job at the session! I had fun trying to come up with new areas to use as backgrounds--since this was my fourth session there that week. :-) I LOVED the sensory garden with their outfits! The cream colored wall was perfect for Lachlan's photos and the flowers behind Ava were amazing!
