Part of the signature service you receive with Lily Bella Photography is a relaxed, laid-back atmosphere. I have three kids of my own. I get it. They don't want to have their photos taken. Dads don't want to be missing out on watching the big game or mowing the lawn to have their photos taken. I do my best to keep the whole thing as painless as possible. We move along, I get what I need and we're done. BUT, at the same time, if the kids need a break for a moment to have a snack or get a drink, I understand that too. If babies need to stop for a bit and be fed. No problem! Whatever you need to do! I'm yours for the session and I usually only plan one session a day (if I can help it) so that I can give you my full attention and not have to be worrying where I'm off to next.
Photo Agreement:
New for 2011, I now have all clients (new and returning) sign a portrait agreement form. This is one form that has all contact information on it, as well as, a client signature agreeing to the fact that I have copyright to the images. This agreement also gives me permission to use any and all images for advertising and website use (whether on Facebook or my Lily Bella website) now and in the future.
Payment:
I expect payment the day of your photo session either in cash or check (payable to Holly Isaacson). If for some reason this does not work for you, contact me to make other arrangements.
For an indoor/studio session:
I set up my studio equipment in my family room with tons of natural light. I will usually ask you ahead of time what colors your family might be wearing. As I have many backgrounds now, and it's easier for me to bring out a few options rather than my whole arsenal at once. That would be very overwhelming to a lot of people.
Depending on the age of the person being photographed, I have several props here I can use. Or I'm more than happy to incorporate any special props you bring with you. If you have a lovey blanket, animal, basket, quilt, or family heirloom, I'm more than willing to try and use anything you like.
I tend to take quite a few photos during the session. I just keep clicking away to make sure I get what I'm looking for. So, even though I may take 100/150 photos at your session, you may only end up with 20-30 finished images.
Though I have definite ideas before a session about posing and setups, I am more than open to to whatever your ideas are. If there is something you've seen that you want to try, speak up! I'm happy to try anything new for you.
For an outdoor session:
We can either meet at the location, or you can pick me up and all go together depending on where you live and where we're going. When we reach the location, if I've been there before, I may have definite ideas of where we will be going. If it's someplace new, we may just wander and stop if a spot strikes me.
I tend to do posed shots as well as just follow the family along and take impromptu shots. I may all of sudden see something and ask you to stop.
The outdoor sessions tend to be a little more relaxed and informal as it's easier to just catch a moment when we're walking around. These sessions may take a bit longer than an indoor session as well. Just because we will have to walk around between setups.
Again, I'm more than happy to try anything you're interested in. If there is a spot that you really like, just point it out and we'll try to make it work!
You'll probably get a bit more variety in your photos with an outdoor session.
If the weather happens to be poor the day of your session: we can either reschedule for another date, or switch it up and do an indoor studio session instead. We can touch base about that last minute.
Please contact me if you have any other questions about how the sessions are run!
